I read, a long time ago on the official forums before they were changed, that there was an ini command:

instructions_ignore_all

with the parameter 0 or 1.

It's supposed to get rid of the pop-up instructions when you do things with a new character that they've not done before (explaining quests, journals, running from a fight, grouping...etc). I've got it in my eq2.ini and tried both 0 and 1 as parameters and still get the pop-ups.

Anyone have this working and how?
