I appologize if i'm a little slow today.
Been working on an auto installer for the UI so in the program mind set...
Are you asking if I could modify it so they are placed into one window?

Thanks,

Here is a suggestion to locate your ini files. Do a file search for all files within sony/eq2 by using the wildcard *.ini This will bring up all your ini files. Then do a shift select of all file and copy and paste them all to a back up file. Hope this helps.

Oh, yeah should be possible.
The only issue I see would be the fact that the compass needs to be wide due to the zone names getting larger since the split paw adventure pack.

Would you prefer the compass zone name on top and the loc on the bottom like it's setup now?

Also, I've been wanting to learn how to the mouse click show different window thing, maybe I could make use of that with this.
For example click to swap from showing the compass graphic to the clock dial.

Whatcha think?

the way compass is now with zone name on top, would that give room for zone names? click to swap sounds cool to your UI gets prettyer and prettyer

I think it would indeed work.
I'll start playing with it and see what I can find out.

Let me know if you get a chance to try my new installer for the ThorUI.
Would love to hear you thoughts on it.

Those two files are from the installer exe.
They hold install information to allow an uninstall.

Not sure about the map icons.

I logged in and was able to replicate the issue.
I was able to fix the POI issue by loading the correct map then clicking the set as default map.
I'll check and see if the original author has a patch for it.

Thumbs Up Great!

This is GREAT guys thanks very much. I was wondering about the map, it says it is a optional download and i want it...where do i locate this optional download . This really makes the game better, tomorrow im goin to get a 19" monitor so it will fully work i hope. Right now it is all smushed together on my tiny 15".

Thanks very much,

Default Map Plugin

I added a link to the eq2map updater at the top of the thread for anyone who may need it.

Thanks,

Default Compass

UI looks great - map is an issue with no POI and the compass at the bottom the numbers are partyl cut off and there seems no way to expand the window so they can be seen.

Thanks

Default compass

Never mind on the compass finally found the expand window it was a little above . you can not see the window boundry.

But the map is a big issue. is there a way to use someone elses map?

This is a real critical piece to the UI

Thanks

Thanks for your reply,
Part of the instructions are to run the eq2map updater after the install of my UI. (I appologize, I need to redo the instructions and make them clearer...)

My UI only adds plugins to the eq2map updater mod.
I wouldn't want to include files that would cause a problem with that modification.

Let me know if you still have an issue after running the eq2map updater.

Thanks,

I was worried because all of a sudden my POIs dissappeared as well.

The fix - wipe the thorui folder, download the .exe, install it - patch eq2map files - and everything is all better now (whew!)

Again - great mod (I sound like a broken record)

Default ThorUI [Installation Notes "Manual/ZIP & Automatic/EXE"]

Install Notes:
1.) Make sure that you backup your files.
2.) Completely uninstall any versions of the ThorUI (Delete the folder)
Do NOT overwrite older versions with newer versions of the UI. "Changes have been made that WILL cause issues if you simply overwrite the files".
Note: Subsequent installs after v3.4 will allow for smoother upgrades since the introduction of the Auto Installer.

Installing the ThorUI (EXE Version) "Automatic Install":
1.) Delete any previous versions of the ThorUI. (Note: If you used the installer you will be able to uninstall the ThorUI)
2.) Launch the ThorUI.exe and follow the on screen instructions.
3.) You will be asked to browse to your EverQuest II folder (Make sure you browse the the EverQuest II folder NOT the UI folder)
4.) Choose your install package type and finish with the on screen instructions.

Follow up Install Steps:
5.) If you wish to use my layout, you will need to make several copies of the thorui_displayresolution_eq2_uisettings.ini file in the EverQuest II directory and rename to your servername_charactername (You may use the UISwitcher application to perform this function to all your characters at once! Much easier...)
5.) Launch the eq2map updater and allow it to update the custom map files
6.) Close all open folders/windows and launch the game (That's it, you're done)

Default EQ2Map

I always run the updater before i bring up EQ2 and that has not fixed the issue of nothing showing on the map.

I will try a reinstall of the eq2map directory.

Heya Thor, I got another suggestion for ya.

If you can tell by my original suggestion (incorporating the map mod from Xonx's Fetish UI), I used Fetish Nightfall before finding yours. I've grown accustomed to features of that UI, and it would be awesome if you could incorporate yet another feature of it.

That being the auto-assist capability.

Anytime you click on a name (group member, pet, even the mob you have targetted), you switch targets to whomever that person has in their sights). You can also target any of the above individuals normally by clicking anywhere BUT on their name (or, of course, with the Function keys; aka F1-F12).

Thanks

Thank you Lazaru5 I always value your suggestions!

I may have a different setup but have you tried keeping a group member targeted and attacking (aka melee, ranged, casting)
You "should" have two target windows up that pop up. (If using my layout they will be at the top of your screen just under the middle hotbars)
One showing your target and the other showing their target.
If you attack while targeting a group member you "should" automatically attack their target. (At least that's how mine works)
Makes playing a scout or preist class sooo much easier since I am always on what the Main Assist is on and if the main assist needs a heal or buff you just cast, the game automatically knows you want to heal your target (not your target's target)

Let me know if I'm missing anything, I've been coding so much lately it tends to fry the brain.

Regards,

LOL, rarely
I've been driving the friends and guildies nuts with all the login and logout prompts hehe.

It's back to playing now though, I think the latest major update should do for a bit. (I think)

NOOO!!! - you have to keep doing more and more updates.

Honestly - play for a while. USE your mod once in a while. After all, you might as well reap the benefits from it as the rest of us do!
