.NET Framework?

Okay, I've searched threads for this and found no definitive answers, so I'm crying for help here.

I'd been using the maps with no problem, and then one day I get this error message:

"To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework: v2.0.50215"

I installed every available version of .NET Framework, uninstalled and reinstalled Maps multiple times and yet I continue to get this message. With the new expansion out, I REALLY need my maps. Can somebody please walk me through solving this issue?
