Inventory in other windows

I know that GU 57 merged the Inventory window into the Persona window, however I am trying to figure out if there is a way with the current coding to make slots available in other windows.

For example like the extra slots used in the Himay Startbar 2.0 or trying to create an alternate inventory window.

I have checked the coding and it doesn't seem like the code for the inventory slots themselves in the XML has changed much if at all.

Any ideas or assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
