Chat Window Conundrum

I've developed an odd chat window glitch since the patch and updating my nightfall so I'm not sure in where the glitch lies. I cannot read what I'm typing in the window untill I actually hit enter, then it pops up. This also makes it impossible to link items. Ideas?

Try turning frame+title on for that chat window.

ok Lord, this is where I hand you a giant sized flyswatter to smack me dead in the forehead, lol. Was talking with a guildy tho, shouldn't there be a way to not have this problem with the windowframe not on? Only asking since it takes up a substantial amount of room in an otherwise crowded corner (and I like my window setup otherwise)

The point of this feature is to reduce the space required for additional chat windows by reclaiming the space used by the chat input.

To hide the titlebar of the MainChat window, use the opacity controls in it's window settings (via right-click). Yes this does result in a little deadspace where the invisible titlebar is, but if you use multiple chat windows, overall you'll save space.

If you dislike the feature...

remove
eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml

Then rename
_simple_eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml
to
eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml
