guild logo

i want to change or put my guild logo on my screen's instead of the words. how do i do this please?

i am using the extream ui. when i log in it has everquest ii then extream ui then under that it says guild logo. can i chage that to a pic or something else. and when i want to examine a item in my inv. the window opens, then under the words about the item is the words guild logo. would love to change that. thanks chad. if it makes it better look at the pics on the extream ui

Chaddwick that is the guildlogo.dds file that you are seeing. In order to have your guilds logo there, you need to create a .dds file with paintshot,photoshop ect. You must use the dem of 1024x256 werll I guess any thing bigger if you want, it will just only read 1024x256 part of it.

It displays the logo on login, zone loads and item inspect. Maybe other places too, who knows where all I stock that logo lol..

In v2 I have included photoshop template file for the guildlogo so that should make things easier on ya.

I really hate to necro post. But, I am haveing a problem saveing the guild logo dds file. I am assuming your useing the nVidia plugin for photoshop. I am wondering what the settings are that you are useing. I have tried a few and it crashes EQ2 when the guild logo is suppose to appear. I am chalking it up to the fact I may not be saveing it correctly. Any help would be great.

It just depends on the quality you want. For my guild logo I save in DXT1 ARGB (1 bit Alpha) with no MIP map checked. For my widgets I save in 8:8:8:8 ARGB (32 bit) with no MIP map checked.

Used the template, made our Silver Daggers guild logo, saved to
Sony/Everquest II/UI/exprete/images folder.

Same old red "Guild Logo" shows up.

There was a guildlogo.dds file there alreadt, which it asked if I wanted to overwrite, and I did (after backing up original in root EQII folder).

Is there some other folder in which I need to save the new guildlogo.dds?

It needs to be saved in \ui\eXtreme\user_settings\images\guildlogo.dds

Done. Works good, but the entire area that was transparent is now partially obscured, as if all that area which was was transparent in the .psd file was converted to white in the .dds.

Anyone else experience this?

If you use a black background in your image, the UIBuilder will make it transparent instead of white.

As I know next to nothing of PhotoShop or the likes, I asked a friend of mine to help with this.
I did not know yet that the transparant background should be black.
Furthermore, he couldn't convert to *.dds
Is there anyone who would be so kind to help me out with this, please?
