Default ProfitUI 1.8e (compiled)

((ATTENTION))

THIS THREAD HAS BEEN UNOFFICIALLY CLOSED AND IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED BY THE DEVS OF PROFITUI.
Please redirect your comments & questions HERE

Thank you.

I hoping theres a Moderator around who can PLEASE lock this thread soon enough. I've created two new threads which I will now dub "Official" and this thread is now redundant. I'd appreciate if EVERYONE could PLEASE avoid posting here and instead post in the appropriate thread listed below:

Main Thread
I'm going to try and keep this for development (as in the guys working on it!) posting only.

Help & Feedback Thread
It's pretty obvious, but everyone else besides the devs for ProfitUI (and myself) please post here with questions, feedback, suggestions and so on. We're trying to keep things as tight and clean as possible.

Just an FYI: eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml is real core file now (not that it wasn't before but more so now) that needs to be allowed to update. I think its being forced to update now no matter what. So saying no to overwriting eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml could break eq2map later on if changes are made to that file.

skinnable_windowframes.xml is the file to skin/mod if one wants to skin/mod the map window when using eq2map.

You're right - I was just going off what I had read in other posts about the map because I was trying to incorporate Fetish's minimap plugin and it wasn't working properly. I just updated mine and everything still seems to be working the same, I'll make changes to the first post.

Edit: Okay, I take that back, when I use the minimap feature it borks some of the tabs/buttons. I'll have to search the forums for a fix for this. *sigh*

Only having one glitch with this version ... when I drag something out of my inventory to destroy it ... the Ok to Destroy / Cancel window is just black.

The only thing I've done is to remove the references to the Fetish Mini-map as it wasn't working properly ... wouldn't resize back to normal after being shrunk, the map would resize but the window would stay the shrunk size.

Wouldn't think the black popup window would be linked to anything with the fetish maps or loading screen but I'm open to suggestions.

Try a fresh install of 1.8f and see if it still happens.

YAY Grim/Spirecore! good job you done here. I was worried this UI would just up and scatter across many a thread. Hey have a question what is the easist way to change the highspeed font to match the speedline font? Something about my eyesight that just doesn't see that highspeed font. Hope you can help me thanks.

Did a fresh install of 1.8f .. everything worked apart from not having the minimap and chat while zoning Fetish addons.

Added the Fetish parts from the 6.2 version links in post #3 edited the eq2ui.xml and eq2ui_mainhud.xml to include the Fetish files and it's all working fine.

I've probably got a few Fetish files in there that I don't need but it works so I'm leaving it alone

I have this problem as well - but if you use the Restore Map button (left side large icon, with a down/up arrow), it'll resize it back to normal. I noticed that sometimes when doing this, it'll remove the World/Area/Zone tabs, but if you click it twice to minimize then restore again, they're back. Just a goofy work-around that I'm not sure what the cause is.

First of, I would like to thank you for updating this UI, I've been using it since day 1 of release, and I would just hate to see thins kinda work fade away because of missing updates..

I have 1 problem, Currently I have 3 chars, I stated mowind a little of the windows on my main character, and put up an extra chapbox, then I set all channels, go to my EQ" directory and copy the usesettings..

Now, I can see my AA points on my main, but on my 2 alts I cant even see that I get AA experience, do you think its something with this UI or is it an in-game bug ??

Thnx for answering, and again thnx for updating.

You will see in your chat window if you gained achievement experience. If you do not get that message, then your alts are either below lvl20 or bugged. If you earn AAXP, the yellow achievement XP window should update regardless of the char you are on, it doesn't care about that.

BTW, you can use the /load_uisettings command ingame for copying another chars settings or switching between different configurations (/save_uisettings <filename> is the counterpart).

Spiricore -

This sounds really neat Fetish Classic's mini loading screen that you posted above but it seemed the be the only outside mod that you use that you did not provide a link to...? any idea where someone could find this ? or could you post the .xml file seperately?
Really love to try this our but can't find it anywhere and not sure what the name of the file is or if its still included in the current Fetish Classic 6.0
Thanks, Fire

Sure, let me find it again and I'll put it on post #3 for you. I think I'm going to contact Zonx and get a definite list of exactly what files are necessary to make sure I'm getting everything (and not adding something that isn't). I'll get it up as soon as I get a response.

Great to see that the ProfitUI project is still alive. I made two simple changes that are not yet included in the excellent 18e and 18f packages that I'd like to share.

- AchievementXP window also shows available / total achievement points
EDIT: for download see post 58
- The /toggelbags button is exchanged with a button that opens Milquetowst Info Center (linked by Spiricore on the first page).

Hope that's useful for somebody.

I love this UI and have since day 1. Thanks for continuing to update and upgrade this wonder. It's very much appreciated!

My only question is if anyone else seems to be having map problems...? Nothing too terribly game-breaking, but the map doesn't seem to be clickable in that when you click it, I like seeing that nice fat X marks the spot, either when clicking a point on the map or inputting a waypoint. Anyone else having this issue?

I added these to post #3 as well. Thanks for your input gm9!

Default Love the spells!

This UI rocks! I love many features about it and I am glad to see there are folks keeping it alive through all the updates.

I looked around on the various threads but could find this question, so I thought I would post it here. Is it possible to make the "effects" window more like the "maintained" window? Not sure if it would work out as well since you can have gobs of effects on you, but I love seeing the text of the spell. Would be cool if it would show if it was a buff, debuff, dot, etc too.

I am going over the xml files to see if this is feaseable, but at a glance, it looks like it will take some time to do. Has anyone else attempted this yet?

Great compilation.

Is there anyway someone can add a mod to the pet window to make it 25% bigger than it is now ? I play at 1900x1200 and its a lil small. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Default compass & zone name issues

After LU20 I've not been able to display the clock & zone info. The compass locations still display but I get no other images.

To clarify this is the zone location / clock that is displayed between the target & implied target windows.

I've tried the + Profit18_Timefix.zip (1.1 KB by Tinu) without success.

Also tried a fresh install of 1.8f.

The only thing I haven't tried was using a new .ini file.

Suggestions?

Try going into the window settings and change the frame options and see if that helps.. I believe those setting determine what level of detail the windows show.

This has worked for me a few times when I could not see stuff I should have been able to see..
