Ok thought I did bouth of them:/ As far as it showing the wrong guild lvl, I can't help ya there, that is info fed from the game. I'll look at it to make sure they data tag is there.

i have been useing profit ui and tried yours and the screen isn't coming up properly as far as where the windows are and i did chose a uisettings file and tried that char. i'm missing an one of the chat windows so i only have one. i quess the question is do i have something i need to get ride of from the profit ui that i might not be aware of? i have seen this come up with anyone else on here so thinking its on my end.

When you say the screen isn't coming up properly, do you mean the windows are not aligned like they are shown in the screen shots? ( not talking about the missing chat window) If you could post a screen shot noteing what resalution you use, and the one you picked from the installer. Aslo post the contents of you eq2.ini file.(located inside your main eq2 folder)

Na, you shouldn't have to do any thing with the profit ui, the installer should over write your current eq2.ini. I'll install some other UI's tonight and see if it overwrites every thing like it should, I really didn't test that aspect of the installer.

If you find any thing else post, nothing is to small or u can't be to picky for me, its the little things that make a UI good.

Any one in beta want to send me the file eq2ui_mainhud_knowladge.xml out of there beta default ui folder? I keep hearing about this new sort by dropdown that isn't on test yet.. Just email it to me or post it zipped up in this thred.

There is the "new DoF" files.

Also, I cannot get the damn ol' installer to work on my thing.
It always comes up with "select valid ui_settings.ini"

Nothing I do works.
And if I use the "select my own", everything is super jumbled.

My last UIs were ProfitUI and your UI.

I will be honest...

I hate the installer. Who/what possessed you to have the THX theme.

I had my speakers (all 5 of them) going at full blast. Damn, I didn't have even a couple of seconds to get the remote.

Plus, your installer isn't working AT ALL for me.

Hi!

I normally use the Profit ui since it came out, but I also like playing around and switching between different ui's. Makes playing EQ2 a whole lot more fun. Just to bad I dont know anything myself about coding and such.

Anyway, I got a request if it's possible. On the screenshot that I added I've made an alteration with boxed in frames. Basically a switch of 2 windows. You had the group window set at the bottom of the screen, I moved it up. And I moved that Buff window that was up there down to where the group window was located.
So, what I wonder is if it would be possible for you to make an option available with a skinned group window to fit where I placed the yellow marker (Or however you would wanna draw it of course)

on the top screen? And reskin the Buff window into a box basically the form as the group window has now so it fits in the bottom part.

Oh, and I noticed a cosmetic bug. When you hover over the invite target button in the group window. Invite is misspelled. Says Infite. Just a typo.

And, I've tried to setup my own chat tabs, but it won't let me name them.

Other than that, it's an awesome UI.

Very, very well done.

You MUST use the text box on that page of the installer to braws AND select the characters ui settings file If you wan the installer to set it up for you, simply just dotting the option will not work. You characters ui settings file is in you main eq2 directory and looks somthing like servername_charactername_eq2_uisettings.ini.

I happen to like the sound of the THX them, sounds kick ass on my system.

I guess its working to some degree being it played the THX theme. Whats it not doing that leads you to think its broke?

If you havn't already, grab the hot fix a couple posts up and it'll fix the group health issue along with some other stuff.

this is what my eq2.ini has in it

cl_ui_skinname eXtreme
cl_ui_subdir UI/

only_show_fg_in_letterbox_area false

here is my screen fresh after install i did notice the chat window that is there is the same as the one in profit ui. i choose 1280x1024 witch is my game and computer rez and selected everfrost_whiro_eq2_uisettings.

ok i went and deleted all the profit ui files and even deleted all the text in the everfrost_whiro_uisettings file and deleted the eq2.ini file then reinstalled and still not right this what i get

out of ideas myself no clue what would be causen this now i went and dled profit ui again to make sure i got all the files.

I would love to try out your UI but when the installer asks me to point to my eq ui settings file it then tells me the file is invalid. I have tried it for every character I have and still no go.

Oh I see whats up..

1. you are using 1280x1024. At that rez you lose the top chat window because of the limited size.
2. your cl_letter_box_amount is at 0.

add this line to your eq2.ini file at the bottom
cl_letter_box_amount 0.18095

Hmm if the file you are trying to use as ur ui settings file is the standerd name it should work. what .ini files have you tried, type the names of the eq2_uisettings.ini file names here.

You can't join channels via the chat text window, and... tabs are unnameable. but yeah, LOVE the little things. now just to DL that mp3 player heh

Edit - WOOT love missing the second page BEFORE posting my first post on a new forum... i RAWK! anywah, just grabbed hotfix, I'll let you know how it goes, Oh, i'm 1280 x 1024 btw... yeah, my monitor's only 17 in lcd. it's limited, dammit! (but purdy)
