Default "The Lair of the Necromancer" zone map

Once again, hopefully with no missing lines. Includes the "inner sanctum" as well.

Default "The Lair of the Necromancer" zone map

It looks great! How does one edit a dds?

There were lots of stairs in this one. Those passages are deceptive. A lot of up and down!

Thanks for the assist on this. I see I've got to get deeper into this. Map making use to be a specialty of mine. I'm looking at the various posts and tutorials you've got in the forums. I may be asking some more questions, but that will be after I've either succeeded or failed at some of the map building techniques.

Thanks!

Actually, instead of editing the .dds, your best bet would be to start from the beginning so that you can get it looking just right. Look here for my HowTo on map making.

So your recommendation on stairs is to "draw" them in with the new map line and /loc combo when creating the original maps?

Stormhold is an example that has stairs (at least some of them). Do you know how those stairs were done?

Thanks,

Rrys
