Did you scale that down? The original map looks somewhat larger and also clearer... that second map seems kind of fuzzy and harder to read. I like the first one better.

I think you may have switched them around, second one is larger and looks better IMO. Hey, let's start another vote... j/k.

Nice map.
Both are the same size, actually. I would love to make a larger one but not sure how to do that yet. The second one doesn't look quite as clear in the jpg because it's not quite as bright and the contrast isn't quite as high, but in game it's actually cleaner and easier to read.
*EDIT* Figured it out... YAY coffee! .... here's the larger one...
The image as such yes but the map picture on it is different. And just scale the entire thing up if you want it larger, and update the zonerect again accordingly.

Yup - figured out I could do that. I just had to get around the dds file dimensions having to be divisible by 4 and wasn't coherent enough to wrap my brain around it yet when I posted earlier. LOL!
I made it fairly large, but it's working great for me in game.
Now if one of you wants to help me get rid of the fog on my maps....
So is there a way to get rid of it? I used to have a plugin that got rid of the map fog but it doesn't seem to be working anymore.
IIRC, you can 'get rid of it' visually by setting the fog layer for that map to be the same image as the map. I don't know if you can turn the layer itself off though, I think SOE 'broke' that with the new map system.

Confirming this. You will need to edit core_blankmapstyles.xml and make sure the updater doesn't overwrite it.
We had discussed to create per-map fog images in the form of a tinted version of the map like the SOE maps have, but due to bandwidth considerations the fog images would need to be auto-generated by the updater and that code doesn't exist yet.
