There are three things you need to make a map usable in game; the .dds image, the .xml code, and the poi file. (Well you don't have to have the poi file, but it helps
)
You can find tutorials in the EQ2Map forums, which is how I learned to do it, or you can wait a little bit and I'm sure one of the maps posted here will be added to the autoupdater soon.
