I did not install to the default dir. I install to a games dir.
So my files sit ..\Games\EverQuest II\UI\insom
In the insom dir there sits the interface pieces and the xml you mention.
My ini named eq2.ini is as follows:
cl_ui_skinname insom
cl_ui_subdir UI/
Could it have anything to do with having the beta on the machine and some strange key in the reg?
