The majority of mods will still work just fine. The problems you'll have if you don't update the mods are:
1- You won't have all the functionality that the new default window has.
2- If you edit a "core" file (FrameStyles, MainHUD itself, etc.), then any new stuff they put in windows you -didn't- alter might not work, since it will make a call to a style that's not there.
