I've been running Profit for years, and it's great. I also have the auto updater installed as well, for some reasons I get this message from time to time. Just try again and over, and see what happens. I don't have a firewall on my system, but a hardware firewall and I know it's good. Just a random thing that hits me from time to time with the updater.
Also, when you go into the updater (the window is open) be sure to edit it and point it to your EQ2 directory, if it isn't already. That might be an issue to...cya!
