Regarding the proxy issues I just got home and fired a proxy up here to test this more properly (I still think this is not a necessary feature though). This should help you track it down:
The EQ2I News tab ignores the proxy settings and uses the IE configuration instead (which is ok I guess).
The EQ2MAP tab actually worked with the proxy settings.
The Interfaces tab simply fails and tries neither a direct nor a proxy connection. The error messages I posted above are linked to the Interfaces tab and appear as soon as you enter any proxy information in the settings tab and restart the program with those settings in place and the interfaces tab activated. |
