There's an option called something like User Interface - Chat Options - Show Chat Type. The next time you see a stoneskin message turn that option on and it will say what chat type it is.

to turn it on:
/chat_show_category true

to turn it off:
/chat_show_category false

also try /chat_show_time [ true | false ]
