Firstly, you can always play EQ2 no matter what issues you are having with a custom ui.
Just delete the eq2.ini file located in your everquest II directory and that will enable you to play with the default interface.

Now with that said, here's the deal...

There are too many users at times and you are all hammering my web host at the same time trying to get updates.
This causes the connection to time out.
This especially happens when I post lots of new goodies as people will try one then delete it, select another feature then download again, repeating until they have what they like.

We can avoid this by using the "..." buttons next to each feature and choosing your features there rather than downloading them all to try them out.

The other option is for me to upgrade to another provider that offers more bandwidth.
But since the issue only happens sporadically on large update days i don't think it's worth the large expenditure.

My recommendation would be to wait a bit and try to run the auto updater at a later time or delete the eq2.ini file as i noted above.

Note: Nothing in this update would stop you from playing. All changes were minor and were mostly tweaks that I added in, therefore you could bypass the thorui au completely if you needed.
