This solution gets us in trouble all too often. What happens is I'm main assist and everyone has me targeted and is autoattacking. Then we get an add that is beating on the enchanter. I switch targets turn off attack and hit taunt once, the mob is a ways away from me and comes rushing at me. The enchanter is trying to mez the mob. Everyone in the group that was targeting me is still autoattacking (or chain nuking) the new added mob. This breaks the enchanters mez. I am going to switch targets back to the orginal mob which everyone should have been beating on this whole time but the damage has been done.

The harder the area you fight in the bigger deal this scenario can become. Going to have to start teaching people in my groups not to use this method of autoattacking. I'll get the mobs attention with a few taunts then target myself.
