I'm assuming all the
miss messages are the failed combat arts, and the
skill messages are that you have a weapon that won't proc yet. Is this correct? Have you tried equipping different weapons?

And, have you tried eating/drinking?
Neither of them seem like they should be affecting anything, but something to try at any rate.
