I know exactly what you're talking about.
I did see this and i'll be working on a resolution soon. (Along with slimming the size of the window)
For now, just backspace clear the search field and press enter again.
Any further "enter key presses" will go to the crafting window rather than the recipe window.
Rinse and repeat for each recipe for now unfortunately.
Hope this helps, and I'll see if I can change the functionality of it soon.
