The persona window section regarding piercing, slashing, and crushing are in the resistances section and are indeed resistance data not skill data.
When you get higher lvl you get a selection to become resistant to piercing, slashing, or crushing and I thought it would be nice to display that for those who chose it.
The skill window data is locked and any strange data read issues would be from SOE as all my UI does is "catch" their data and display it to the user.
To sum it up: That looks like a bug report for the skill data.
