Knowledge book layout along with hotbar layout is saved server side. (Good thinking on Sony's part)
My installer doesn't overwrite your player window settings file so no worries there either.
Just uninstall ThorUI (you can always make a copy of the ThorUI folder first "just in case") then install the new version.
Just be warned although 4.7.1 is real close to being complete, it's still just a beta so some issues exist such as the variable group windows. (If you choose a custom install and choose a bottom fill up group window, it won't work)
