Kill, regarding you're point on the continuos influx of cash...

That I believe was a major point of the Attunement change, to curb not only the cash influx but also the general availability of drops on the market. Use an item and you can't sell it to a player for full value. NPCs give you a token amount for it when you're done with the item.

In a properly balanced economy, the cost of consumables (potions, scrolls, item repairs, food, drink, etc.) should keep inflation somewhat in check. Still, progressing through the game needs to allow players to acumulate enough wealth to buy the more advanced gear required at higher levels.

Also, inflation isn't always a bad thing. As the general population acumulates more wealth, what they are willing to pay for a lowbie collection items also goes up. Folks are already paying 2-5gp for rare T1 collectables. That's more than enough to fully outfit a lvl 10 toon with basic gear.
