True, we can't solo worth a damn - but neither can a healer class. We are esentially another healer/debuff class - for power.
I'd argue that Illusionists are the most powerful character class in the game, when utilized in a good group.
- Breeze and the upgraded breeze stack on top of each other, providing an insanely fast power regen for whoever it is cast on.
- I can easily maintain mezzes on four or five different mobs - making it super easy for my group to kill just about anything that isn't red to me. Orange two up named creature groups are just too easy, when you've got a good tank, and a healer in your group.
- Speechless is insane. Now, I can not only mezz four or five creatures, but while the tank and healer are concentrating on the one creature I haven't mezzed, I'm draining the power of the rest of the creatures in the encounter. So by the time they've killed the first mob, the rest of the mobs have NO power, and they all die in about the time it took for them to kill the first one.
In a good group, this game is WAY too easy.
