Default A problem with this mod

I've been trying to get this mod to work on my system, after it being highly recommended by one of my guildmates. I'll go through each step with what I did:

Quote:
1. If you have a prior Fetish UI, re-title that directory or delete it.
This being my first downloaded mod for EQ2, I had no previous Fetish directory, so there should be no problem here.

Quote:
2. Create a new directory titled Fetish under your Everquest II\UI directory. By default...
c:\program files\sony\everquest II\ui\Fetish
Did this, made a copy of the existing 'Default' folder with everything in it, renamed it 'Fetish'.

Quote:
3. Open Notepad and copy/paste the following 2 lines of code
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname Fetish
Copied and pasted the lines of code to notepad, there were no extraneous spaces at the beginning or end of the lines of code in the document. File was saved as 'eq2.ini' and shows up as a normal .ini file in the EQ2 directory.

Quote:
4. Save AS eq2.ini to
c:\program files\sony\everquest II\
Done as stated above.

Quote:
5. Install EQ2MAP to the new Fetish directory

6. Install and run the EQ2MAP auto-updater
Havent downloaded EQ2Map yet, wanted to see how this UI was on my system first before I added anything else to it.

Quote:
7. Unzip the contents of this archive into the Fetish directory, replacing all files when prompted.
Did this, and yes I extracted it from the .zip file, not copy/pasting. All files should be in their correct subdirectories. When prompted to overwrite the existing files in the Fetish directory, I selected 'Yes to All'.

When I run EQ2, the mod splash screen shows up, and the new border line tints/motifs show up. I get to the character select screen with no problems. I choose my character, click 'Enter' and it starts to load up. I can see all of the default windows that are usually up (chat box, with chat text in it, can even see when people are speaking, name box, exp bar, compass, Earth/Norrath clocks, etc.) I see the shrunk loading art, and the rest of the screen is black. When it finishes loading, the screen stays black (with the listed windows still viewable.) and then the screen goes completely black, and I get an error saying EQ2 has encountered a problem and has to shut down, and it prompts me to either send an error report to MS or just close it.

Any help would be appriciated.
