Hehe.. thought the same thing was needed and have finished a windows script for a similar purpose.
Finds all the .ini files, you choose 1, and it duplicates the settings to all othe other found files.
It also backs them up to a subdirectory first just in case.
Sounds like yours will be a little cooler and such, but
this one is working quite well.
