Did you use the auto-updater? There're very few POIs for the commonlands, I believe none in west commonlands so far.
If you just got the EQ2MAP - Main Download but haven't used the auto-updater then you should have plenty of icons in antonica, TS, nektulos and commonlands. In other words, if you're not seeing them there's a bug and I'll look into it.
