If you downloaded an old zipped version of profit, it's most likely so far out of date that the game refuses to load it because it's incompatible.
Alternatively, you may have 2 installs of EQ2 without knowing it and you installed Profit into a different one than you're actually launching. Open the launchpad, go into the tools button (bottom left) and choose to open game directory, that'll open the folder where EQ2 is installed that you're actually launching. |
