Using and Downloading UI with Vista

:) Greetings and well-met!

This is my first post and before trying install a custom UI I was wondering if downloading and extracting files for Vista is any different that in XP. NOw, I have read and understand, for the most part, the thread about how to install custom UI's. Any help with an archived answer to this question would be appreciated. It is my guess that the process will be the same as in XP, just making sure of things first!

Cheers
:p

Haha....greetings mighty one!

Yeah, well I couldn't find any avatars online for EQ 2. I have a post in the off-topic section, (I think it's off topic ), that asks where to find good EQ 2 avatars. At any rate I chose the dragon due to the fact that the name of the guild I'm is Draco Serpentalis.

Nice to meet you, btw...

:p

Time to go back to my borg9 alter ego then, that will cause even more confusion. :p

Well either that or I abuse smod powers and change yours. :D

I was actually pretty much confused at first by gm9 asking install questions :P

To the question: It is different in Vista IF you have your EQ2 installation in \program files. If thats the case please extract the files using administrator rights.

Program files is the devil, I say! EVERYTHING is technically a program file, so why should there be a separate folder for it... /chuckle ;)

To make people ask silly questions like that! :p ;)

Besides, I gave up on trying to understand Microsuck's (errrr, Microsoft's) ways of thinking a looooooooooong time ago! I think their 'train of logic' got derailed shortly after leaving the station! :D
