Problem with Getting Updates
 

Been a huge fan of EQ2Maps!! GREAT Program. But just recently I have been getting this error everytime I run the Autoupdate. EQ2Maps will start downloading files then around 10% to 20% it will hang with this error. This may be a case of my firewall just having issues, but I wanted to post it here to see if anyone had any ideas on what Might be causing it. Thanks for any help I recieve :nana:

This is a connection issue, and you are using the old updater.

Ok thanks Jnils will get the new updater see if that makes a difference....

I kinda figured it was a connection error.. because every time I run the updater my firewall needs to be rebooted... could be a firewall issue, but will download the newest updater and see if that makes a difference.

Will come back and post if this fixes issue.

Ok, I realize its a connections issue..... prob something funky with my firewall it is a netgear ProSafe VPN firewall Model FVS114. I have firmware updated it to the most recent.. yet it still freezes everytime I run the EQ2map updater. It might just need to be replaced.. but I know I can download pretty much anything else and never have an issue (Porn whatever :-) JK by way). But I was curious if I could physically download the map updates at some location and then put them in the EQ2Map directory? If that was possible I might be able to avoid having to purchase a new firewall just to run this updater?

Any help is appreciative even if its bad news :-)
