Making "Place Name Window" always visible?

When you visit some places, there a text on your screen shows the name of the place. Like Claymore Monument, Keep of the Ardent Needle, etc in Antonica.

I have tried to right click or drag that "Window" and configure that. But have no idea how to make it visible all the time or make it stays a bit longer. (I want to jog down the name sometime but it fades so soon)

Is it able to do that?

Thanks for your time :p

There is something in the MainHUD called OnscreenMessage, but I'm not sure if that covers everything or not.

My guess would that be if it DOES cover them all, and you wanted to do that, and it worked, it would be nice, but then say you got a skill-up, that would display on your screen until something else happened or you were in a new "area". But I don't think there is anyway to do it. I could be wrong though.

This could be awesome if someone figured out a way to get these subregion names out and add that to one of the xp bar mods that shows the name of the map you are one.

"Antonica - Archer Woods"

"Antonica - Archer Woods"

that would rock! I was having this same problem last night, fadign too fast, although I think you can adjust the fade rate.

onscreen_msg_enable_encounterbroken
onscreen_msg_enable_generic
onscreen_msg_enable_levelgained
onscreen_msg_enable_locationentered
onscreen_msg_enable_quest
onscreen_msg_enable_spellgained
onscreen_msg_skillup
onscreen_msg_speed_scale

some slash commands that might affect this issue.

Sounds interesting these commands.
The _enable_ seems toggle things while I m interested about the last one. speed_scale. properly able to make it fade *slower*

BINGO!

Just tried this after server up.

/onscreen_msg_speed_scale 1 (seems nothing changed)
/onscreen_msg_speed_scale 1000 (wooo. fade immeidately)
/onscreen_msg_speed_scale 0.001 (yeah, it works)

the message of the place name still visible now while I am writing this msg hehe :D Thanks all idea~

just a warning to you.
0.001 seems a little bit greedy. The message is still there now lol

properly 0.1 or 0.05 is enough
tune yourself!

I assume this affects all quest messages and stuff too? That could get really annoying if it stays up too long.
