EQ2 does not launch
 

I have installed and everything works well ( infact it even updates ) however when I click the "launch eq2" nothing happens ... the updater closes and nothing launches.

on a side note would it be possible to launch a different application such as eq2 map updater from the profit updater instead of launch eq2 .... even if I can get eq2 to launch however I could run the map updater and have it launch the profitui updater and chain launch the programs that way .... which is what I am trying to do if it would work.

Actually it tries to launch EQ2.exe in the directory you chose. If you play on Testserver, please check 'Testserver' on configuration screen to launch \Testserver\TestEQ2.exe instead.

thank you ... changing the file name to EQ2 did the trick ( I downloaded using the "Trial of the Isle" for the base file then patched from there to re-install Everquest II so had to change the TrialoftheIsle.exe to what the patcher was looking for )

Hmmmm.. I actually have to launch TestEQ2.exe from the root of the EQ2 install. Otherwise i get EQ2\testserver\testserver. As far as I can determine ( and keep in mind i am a mere button pusher and only have 13 working brain cells ) TestEQ2.exe looks for the sub directory \testserver from its launch location. So, if launched from \testserver, if looks "down" and not seeing \Testserver, it builds it.

Hm, it just does fine for me launching it from Testserver subdir *shrug*
