Quick Raid Buttons - Results
Thanks everybody for submitting ideas for what to preconfigure for the QuickRaidButtons. We had submissions for all classes except for Bruisers and Swashbucklers which I ended up adding. From the submissions I tried to select what appeared to make the most sense.
An interesting issue are cures. I ended up putting the entire click-to-cure code on the raid window, so you don't need to use the other buttons for that. Several Mystics requested to get their universal cure on one of the buttons. Interestingly none of the other healers asked for that, they all wanted special heal, small and large heal, which is what I went for in the Mystic's case as well. Let me know if you think we need a fourth button. Except for healers, most classes had trouble even getting 3 buttons filled. I ended up topping them off with assist and/or Heart/Shard request macros. Also note that the curing code has been redone as well and is now determined by subclass, i.e. you can configure specific cures per subclass if you want, e.g. a universal cure. If you see a typo or other mistake below or otherwise want to discuss please post below. I'm going to release this soon. Quote:

tested & i'm absolutely loving this!!
& a 4th button would rock! :nana: |
Sigh, used the auto-updater and it replaced my raid window with these, and i asked a dirge for a heart/shard instead of curing her :( lol!

Aye, can you make it so that these buttons is not updates also ?
I have set some of my own macro's and I would really like to keep those.. |
Check the FAQ, you can do that yourselves for any file that is part of the UI.

<Data Name="Button3" Macro="useabilityonplayer Parent.Target Lend Shield" Tooltip="Lend Shield"/>
Hmm unknown spell, the 3rd spell should be the single reactive heal : Suffering Penance |

What do you mean when you say you put the entire click-to-cure code on the raid window? Are we supposed to be able to cure others in the raid in some other way? Maybe I'm missing something...

My quick raid buttons file was working last thurday during last raid i was at. I had edited the file myself. now tonight (monday) it does not work. i get long string of default text when i mouse over the buttons.
I had updater Not updating that file as i had it the way i wanted. did something else change that it is not looking at that file anymore? Edit: Just got done raid and think i may have figured it out. Original _ProfitUI_QuickRaidButtons file had internal <Page Name="QuickRaidButtons"> and the final version has it called <Page Name="ProfitUI_QuickRaidButtons"> so perhaps the raid window file was looking inside the _ProfitUI_QuickRaidButtons file for a page name to read that it could not find. anyway i let you know tomorrow. |

Okay, I have several custom triggers set up in ACT that starts timers for my jester's cap with things that i say to raid and things that i tell a person. Is there a way to code my jester's cap quick raid button to do both of these? Since i'm not sure on the coding to get the message in /ra, I would love to see the coding for it. If it makes it easier for you to just post the coding yoru self for a copy/paste method, the raid message should be something that includes the Parent.Target's name and the message "Parent.Target has been capped!" (not sure on the coding for an explanation point). I think i can figure out the tell version as you have that already posted in your faq. One last thing though, do the page breaks for the new chat lines go before or after the tooltip message?
P.S. If it's easier for you, if I can just get the coding to make the buttons send both a message in raid chat and a tell, and the coding for an explanation point, I can probably figure out the rest myself. Thanks |
Inquisitor Raid Macro #3
You have Shield Ally as your third raid macro for Inquisitors. This is not a Inquisitor spell per se, it's an AA buffand it's group only so it's not a good option to have it as a raid macro. Not really a good option for it.
The special Inquisitor heal (reactive) is called Suffering Penance. |

<Data Name="Button1" Macro="useabilityonplayer Parent.Target "Jester's Cap" If the exclamation mark causes trouble you will probably have to write it like this '!', but I don't think that will be necessary (not tested though). Quote:
