Calain's Questhelper with enhanced navigation
Hi!
I really liked Othesus Active Quest Helper, but i did think, that it doesn't fit with ProfitUI. As gm9 and Othesus both have a lot of things to do I tried to port the mod to ProfitUI myself. After some guild internal testing I now want to publish the addon. Here is the link: Calain's Questhelper with enhanced navigation As I play on a German language server, there might be some incompatibilities I don't know of yet. Feel free to post them here and I'll try to fix them. I hope some other people will find this mod useful as well. Calain |
hi, love this mod, but since the new auto updater, it doesnt work, any chance it can be fixed?
|
please:) I love it too!
|
You should be able to tell the autoupdater to not update that file. It's called eq2ui_journals_active.xml
|
Like Othesus suggested:
You must disable the update of eq2ui_journals_active.xml. After you have done this just copy my version again into your UI-folder. Then it should be persistent. |
Has this mod been updated to work with the latest ProfitUI?

The actual website search link names do not appear on the mouseover.

I'll look if I can fix it. ;)

It works for me.
But I copied the current Version of the search routine in this new version of the mod. I have seen a small flaw in my current version: The search page was user-resizeable. So It could be that the page just got resized. I attached the "fixed" version. Does it help you? Or does the original work? Cu Calain |

Sorry doesn't work.
For the links it just says 5 times: "Parent.paren" and when you click them the browser opens but no page appears. Update: I fixed it. I attached the file so you can see what I did. |
Hmmm ....
Don't know why you needed to rename the page and the links. Could you append your "_ProfitUI_StandardSearches.txt"? Mine says <Page Name="StdSrch" ... As does the original one from 3.4.8b. Looks like yours says <Page Name="ProfitUI_StdSrch" ... This could be, that you changed the links in an old version and the name of the page of the searchfile was changed since then. |
There was a question about this recently but I can't find the post. gm9 renamed that page recently so I think one of you is using the old version.

I'm sorry about the renaming trouble, actually having the auto-udpater did not make my life much easier. I currnetly have 3 different versions I have to keep track of, the current manual download, the auto-updating version and my development version for what is going to be the next release. Unfortunately due to bad organization on my end some files from the internal version have "leaked" onto the auto-updater where they should not have. Whoops.
I had renamed a number of files internally to make them use a common naming scheme. All files that are not modded default UI files but rather ProfitUI exclusive files now have a "ProfitUI_" prefix to their names (just like the file names always had). The next release will end the 3.x line of ProfitUI and will start ProfitUI 4.0. All current mods to ProfitUI will probably stop to function, which is another reason for the version jump. Be warned that the _ProfitUI_Styles.xml also had a name change internally and will be called - surprise - "ProfitUI_Styles" in the next version (not released yet). But at least some good news for you Calain80, I finally got off my behind and I finished the quest selection dropdown code for the upcoming version of ProfitUI last week. |

And also many thanks for adding this feature to the core UI! If there is any way I can help you I'll try. :D |
