[Test] 6.12.07 (GU36) - Interface Changes
 
UI Notes:
  • You can now ctrl-click a link to a house item or an icon of a house item to preview it in the Dressing Room!
  • Alt <click> will now move an item into trade or mail if either of these windows are open.
  • Coin will now automatically roll up to the higher coin type. For example, if you have 100 copper, it will automatically become 1 silver in your inventory.
  • You may click the coin icons in the trade and commission windows to set exact change. Dragging coin icons will also still work.
  • The /destroy_coin command and the Destroy menu option on your inventory coin have been removed now that coin is weightless
  • Harvests used for imbuing should no longer trigger the message and sound used for true rare harvests.
  • You will now automatically hail a merchant when using their default merchant action.
  • Added a "Product Class" field to the recipe tooltips which displays which classes the item is useable by from the tooltip.

The dressing room is definitely a nice addition. Thanks for the preview Dolby.

One question though: Is there a dressing room option in the item context menus as well?

I did not notice if there was but will check when I get back on the test server. I dont think there is one because even their directions in the patch notes say to use CTRL - Click.

It will also show a preview of house items too but didnt have time to check that out fully. The character I have on test is very low level.

Ok, double checked and no there aren't any context menu's for this. you can ctrl click on house furniture although its a bit buggy with furniture, need to feedback to allow X,Y movement in the window when showing furniture, right now you can only rotate and a lot of furniture gets cut off.

Ya know...

The "dressing room" was one of the things I really liked in WoW when I tried it... and more and more, it seems that EQ2 is adopting things from WoW, lol...

At least... the GOOD things :P .



This'll definitely help though, as I've found myself (as a Templar) getting gear that I think looks cool initially (maybe on another player race or something) only to find out it looks horrible on me. This should (hopefully) save some grief... Especially if its also usable from the Broker.

I dont think thats all that bad really.. WoW has some things I'd KILL for in EQ2 and its a damn fun game. Just has a sucky community is all.
