Chat Bar without the ugly background
 

I want a chat bar like the scroll-less one I downloaded, where the background is plain black, no ugly brown marble looking color like the default that SoE made, can anyone help me out I have no knowledge of UI making or I would try myself.

please attach the chat box you use now so someone can make the background black

This is the chat window I use, DL'd from here its the scroll-less one.

Still looking for some help with this, that ugly brown marble look is horrid, I just want a plain black background for it, really I would like a plain black background for all my windows, including inventory, journal, etc etc.

here ya go...i just stretched the background up really high, so you might still see it with a full screen chat window...but im sure you dont play like that:)

Hey, heres another version of that scrollless chat window. I changed the backdrop to a solid black. Just drop it into your custom ui folder.

you can change the background to the saem solid black for any window by looking for WC_Backdrop in the XML and changing
RStyleDefault="/FrameStyles.background_gold" to
RStyleDefault="/FrameStyles.background_black"
