Getting kicked to desktop when using my eq2.ini file. Worked before.
 

Hello,
I stopped playing for several months. At the time I was last playing , my EQ2Map was working perfectly. Just the simple 3 line eq2.ini file.
After returning yesterday and uploading all the new content/patches, I tried to play. It would connect to the server, find my character and as soon as it went to place my character in game it would crash to desktop with no errors given. I went through a variety of things trying to figure out what was wrong. In the end, I simply renamed my EQ2.ini file so it would not be used and my characters enter game perfectly. Any ideas as to why trying to use the same eq2.ini I had been using in the past now caused me to crash?

Thats my ini file. Wouldnt bother me so much if it wasnt for the fact that when I last played, everything was working without a hitch.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is your UI updated ?

I dont know. Maybe that is the problem. When I first got this working, the only thing I did was install the AutoUpdater per the given instructions. I simply created a named folder within the UI folder installed the updater files and made the 3 line ini file. Never did anything else. I dont use any of the custom UI's that I see downloadable.

If you use only EQ2MAP,then try to delete all the files inside akiui folder, and let the Autoupdater get new files for you.

Have you changed your moniter since the last time you played? or Video Card?

If so delete the eq2_default.ini and eq2_recent.ini files...log in it will DL them new from the client.
