I jes installed and I can't even talk in my chat windows?

right click where you want to chat, and choose window settings, change the frame settings, to like frame only, then back to none, the chat bar will appear. has to be done once per toon i beleive. but will be there always once you've done it

I had the same problem. What I have to do is right click and select always chat here. I have to do this everytime I log in or switch alts.

I just installed the updated version and I can not Chat worth a dang... I tried both options that were listed here but neither work..

I hit the / button it blinks black once and then I can not type.... Never goes into chat mode...

Any help is much appreciated.

the Profit UI is a realy good job, you made. I'm using is now a half jear. And I don#t want a other UI. But after instaling v 3.4.1 and 3.4 I cant use the Chatwindow. Trying you tipps dosent work :( I installed an older Version of Profit UI, and now i can chat. Maybe someone can help me.

same as above posters only I have no old versions to revert back to because I just reinstalled my system.
is there a way to fix this, I love ProfitUI but I can't use it like this :(

Having the same issues. I have tried the solutions above and still no ability to chat.

The above solutions do work, as it also says in the FAQ. I'll have to check though whether either my default UI settings are wrong or the default frame settings of the chat window have changed. Or if you all are just not following the installation instructions. ;)

I had made the change to chat window behaviour around v3.2 to fix the trouble people had with the game no longer asking for default UI settings on new chars (which it now does again). So basically it was supposed to avoid the need to toggle any settings (except once for existing users).

UPDATE: I checked the window and the default settings, both work fine. Follow the installation instructions. :)
