The cool, 'Nightvision' feature no longer works

First and foremost, this is by far the best UI I've used for EQ2.

That being said, just recently my nightvision feature on the EQII button bar stopped working. I click to turn it on/off and nothing. Same thing w/ my fiance on her pc. I made the effort, of course, to first remove the proper .xml file and restart the AU. Same problem. Everything else seems to work still.. like the Journal, info center, knowledge book buttons, etc. I didn't see a thread on this yet, so I figured I'd get this one going :p

Thanks for a wonderful UI and I look forward to this resolution!

Odd, works fine for me.

Try the following commands and let me know if they work. You can make one into a macro if so until the nightvision button is working again.

/r_flat_ambient true (FALSE to turn it off.)

This is the command the Nightvision button uses.

/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 0.8
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 1
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 3
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 10

This is the game's Minimum Ambient Light slider. The slider only goes up to 0.5, you can use higher values via this command. Greater than 1 gives some lighting bugs on distant objects. 0.8 is what I use.

Hope these help. :)

Seems ok...

I don't know... I logged out a couple times.. back in... it seems to work again. Quite odd. Thank you though, for the reply. I'll be sure to try that out next time! :nana:

I think I can fix it to work without the need for it but currently you have to be in "medium" performance or better for it to work.

If you're in the lowest quality video setting it won't work/show up.

I think other modders were able to work around that limitation.
I'll try and research what the others have done.

Excellent!

I know it's a bit late, but I just wanted to say thanks :)
