Tabbed Notepad
 

Kind of just a theory, not so much a request but I'm curious if it could work.

The Infocenter Mod, I assume is created by another window, so we create a new window, a good size for a notepad.

Now we use the /petition window style how you can switch from Help Topics to Online Help, simple enough I hope. Now if possible, change the tab so you can post data, ex: change the title of the tab.

From there it has the same premise as a notepad, write in it, change the tab name to what you need it to be / say. And access it like you would the biography.

My question: Theoretically possible?

Sure you could, but once you logged off all data would be gone. All data would be gone because other then the log there is NO way to write user entered data from within the game to disk.

Didn't think of that.

UI windows and mods are not allowed to save anything to disk. What you want could be done with the web browser if you were running a web server on your computer. Or, you could use one of the online notes tools like:

Hmm, I couldn't get google docs to work but you might be able to use those others.

Thinking without seeing if it is possible here... A window that accepts input to a custom channel only, and then running/ making a parse untility that will extract the log data for that channel's tag only and output to a txt file ?

Lots of work I know... but just throwing out a a surgestion :)

Okay that was an idea I didn't think about.

I'm not like super concerned with having this made, but I could see it being quite useful for many people so I figured I'd throw up a discussion on it.

I didn't actually know the mod windows couldn't write to disk.
