Compact Raid Window?

Limit player name to 10 characters, instead of full length health and mana bars have one shorter rectangle? Where health triangle changes colors, depending on the health, and mana changes fill?
Should look something like that:
;
;
;

;
;

That should realy compact the raid window, without affecting functionality.

Compacting it should be possible...

But I don't think we can do the little triangles like that.

Zarys 02-23-2007 11:34 AM

two small squares may be?

The triangles would be possible, but I just don't see any raider who would want these, kinda difficult to see who is dying or who is running out of power. But if you want it, I suggest someone makes a horizontally resizable window that allows you to exand and shrink the horizontal bars. Sounds like the easiest and most versatile way to do it for me.

I dont know if it is possible, but I would even go for no bars at all,
lets see, player name itself would change according to health bar changes?
and mana would be represented by a % number?
Or , mana would be a thin line under the name?

Unless you are a healer, there isn't any real need for others health unless you just want to know. So if one is not of that type and wanting to minimize the size of the raid window this lay out wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Personally I just close it and only look at it only to make sure the RL isn't some whack job and have screwy group make up lol.

I'm usually DPS on raids, but I use the raid window to pay attention to what's going on, see who catches aggro or got hit or killed on AOE, who got stunned, needs a cure (mages can cure), possibly if the off-tank group is holding up, etc. People play it differently I guess.

How can you tell if someone outside of your group requires a trauma cure or noxious cure etc...?

You are right, unfortunately you still can't show those raid-wide. I guess I'm using the group window for that then. :rolleyes:
I still find myself paying attention to the raid window a lot though.
