Even though everyone is all like "omg commercialized holiday just so companies can sell flowers and chocolate and cards", I'm a girl so I'm allowed to like it!

While, being a guy, I'm inclined to share the "omg..." argument, I recommend not to put that argument to your girl, she won't let you off the hook that easily. :D

Yeah, I tried that with the wife last year...
I explained we really shouldn't give in to all the propoganda and comer******m of that holiday.

She then promptly introduced me to "Husband sleeps in the dog house" week.

So we came to an understanding;
I remember and observe Valentines and she forgets all about the dog house week...
