Returning after 11 months
Greetings,
Been away for a while. A long while. Just finished downloading the updates... None of my old ui's work anymore. A lot of new ui's I download don't work. eg; depechenodes advanced 3_4bag notitles Mook_Hotkey 3-4ths hotbar, no bank, no labels Are we able to use these mods or are we patiently waiting for lu30(?) compat upgrades. Or am I just missing something because I've been away. Very possible. :) |
The bag mod should work as it was updated after the latest bag changes.
Mook Hotkey works for me. Not sure about the last one without a link to the specific mod. When downloading new mods make sure that they are at least GU29/EoF compatible (after 11-14-06). Try installing them again. |
I don't think you need a hotbar mod unless you want to do something really strange. You can change the size of the hotbars and do all sorts of things with the default UI. Just right click and select hotbar options.

The default hotbars still have too much deadspace around the outer edges that you can't get rid of unless you keep the icons above a certain size. I keep mine at 24 and like them stacked tightly on top of one another. This can't be done with the default bars.

Aye, Mook Hotkey's been updated, but due to the fact that you can control icon padding now, and the fact that I left nowhere to grab the window without it, you may want Mortis's hotkey instead. ( http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=4372 )
As for the bags, the new icon system doesn't allow for anything but the standard layout, so it might be a while before the 3/4 and 6-column bags can be compatible again. Anything updated after 11/15/06 should work. |
Many thanks for all the advice.
The 3/4 bags would be really nice to have again. Is anyone working on this? It seems ger's 3/4 multiformat bag (which I used to use many moons ago) is the most popular (9440 downloads is quite impressive). |
I actually use the Mortis hotbar mod and really like it so I would suggest checking that out as well.
There are bag mods that will allow for a 6-slot layout but you will need to continually resize them. If you simply want a bag mod that doesn't have the fluff and is smaller than the default size then there are several of those available that do actually work. |
I've looked for a 3/4 no frame, titlebar, backdrop, dead space but can't seem to find one that works.
Any link would be greatly appreciated. |
On one of my systems I use the ProfitUI bags, which don't have any titles or deadspace and are smaller than default. You can extract the eq2ui_inventory_bag.xml file from the ProfitUI download.
Another option would be an even smaller bag based off of the ProfitUI: Link Here's another option: Link This one gets rid of the frame as well, I believe: Link (probably most like what you are looking for - please correct me if I'm mistaken) There are several of these type of mods available. Most may show a screenshot with the title/frame/background but usually these can be removed via the window options. You may need to download a few and see what works best for you. Again, these are assuming that by 3/4 you are referring to 75% icon size and not column/row layout. I'll also take a look at my personal custom bags to see if the title can be removed but I can't remember whether or not it's something that I included in the mod. However, the frame will always be visible as I've never cared too much for frameless bags, personal opinion of course. |
I've gone with the second option you've listed. It's ok for now. I'm pleased SOE have incorporated box sizing in the hotkeys. It makes a world of difference.
Thanks to all |

It must be me then, 'cause it won't work.
I'll give it another try as I particular like your mod, d. I'll let you know how I fare. |
