EQ2Map update problem

For the last week or so when ever I run the EQ2Map Auto updater instead of going to the patch screen it just goes right into the game and uses a diff log in right before the Character select. So I have to end up first running the patch and such and then using the Map updater. Is that something new they have done or is it a bug of sorts?

Do you have 'autoplay' enabled on the launchpad?

And SOE made a chance to the launchpad that is causing everyone to try to log in as a wrong character. For example, my antonia bayle character trys to log in as the character "antonia bayle" hehe.

It's a know issue and soemthing they'll fix, but not an EQ2MAPs problem.

I only seem to have problems when I log in using the auto-play on the map updater but if I run the map updater then close it when its done and use the EverQuest2.exe I don't have problems at all.

There is two ways to enter the game one is everquest2.exe (dosen't load the launch pad) and eq2.exe (aka the launch pad). It has been ages since I have used that eq2map updater so I can recall if it has the option to load right into game like eXtreme's AUCP does. You may want to look through it's options and see if it has one and if it does then set it the way you prefer.
