Problems with trade window (or lack of one)
 

This might not be related to the UI, I don't know, but the problems didn't show up until I started using it.

I went to redo my AA points using the fetish UI and a window popped up saying the window for this wasn't compatible with the UI I was using. So I did /loadui and clicked default, and the vanila UI came on. Then when hailed the npc to redo my AA pts, it said I was too busy for that action. So I rebooted the game with vanila UI and was able to do this.

Later I was duoing with someone and wanted to give them something I won the roll for. I couldn't trade, it just kept saying I was too busy for that action. When he tried to open a trade window with me, the game told him the same thing about me.

I can't figure it out, please help. Maybe I need to re-install the fetish UI?

Being "too busy for this action" is not a UI issue.

And in the future, it's always best to change your eq2.ini -- /loadui can cause major buggage and chrasage. It's the DEVIL ;)

As for the AA bit... it's a known issue and a temporary fix has been posted several times in the Bugs sticky.

thanks for the advice :) maybe I have buggage already now that I've used the dreaded /loadui command? I think I'll reinstall. Do I have to delete the maploader or can I just reinstall the UI mod without any problems?

You probably don't need to reinstall.

The "To busy" bug prbly resulted from atempting to open a transaction with the AA vendor. The transaction started but since the window never opened, you never actualy closed the window to cancel the transaction. Zoning should fix that problem, logging definetly will.

If you do decide to reinstall, you shouldn't need to reinstall eq2maps. Just unzip the Fetish ui to the Everquest II directory and run the map updater ;)

Oh and remeber to trash the eq2ui_popup_acheivementmerchant.xml file.
