Renaming {server}.{toon}_eq2_uisettings.ini
 

I have exrtracted the files needed for the Reborn UI. On step 3 it says to rename the {server}.{toon}_eq2_uisettings.iniin the EQ2 directory & add .bak to the end of it. I am not sure which file to rename, and don't want to mess anything up. Do you know what file I am to use.

In your EQ2 folder, each character has a ui file assigned to it when its played.

If your character is on the whatchamacallit server and is named figgledyflop, then the ui file you would want to back up would be Whatchamacallit.figgledyflop_eq2_uisettings.ini

Once you get the base settings working in game for one character, you can then log in to your other characters and use /load_uisettings. This will bring up a list of the ini files that you can load onto your characters.

Make sure that you aren't using any level or class specific chat channels when loading UI settings. Theres a potential to bug a characters chat channels when loading a chat channel listed in the ini files that the character can't access due to lvl or class restrictions.
