Please update this great mod!!! Killarny's Maintained!

Is there anyone who can update this great mod to LU29, please?!

It's a must have for me to have the duration text at all times!

Is it still possible to display the duration text? If not, please delete this post.

Thank you for your time.

edit: Almost forgot....

IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME! PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!

haha thx in regards to the avatar.

but about mother's maintained... no offense to mother's stuff, but it kinda has too much for me. I just want the time to tick down in the icon, like in killarny's.

Please someone help me out here.

Please, someone has to be able to make this work. I will bump this thread till I am blue in the face or until someone tells me it can't be done (someone = experienced modders).

I'm sure the only thing that's broken is some new code that's inside.

lordebon 11-29-2006 08:46 PM

I haven't used the UI you've alluded to...

So, what do you mean by duration text displayed at all times? What do you mean by "duration text"?

lollygagger 11-29-2006 09:24 PM

I use this maintained window mod as well and the only thing that needs to be updated is when you mouseover the icons, incorrect data gets displayed for the target.

Here's a reference URL - http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...nfo.php?id=3726

Your link is busted...

And a screenshot of the "incorrect data" would help. And you say it's only wrong on mouseover?

blast22 11-30-2006 04:02 PM

I edited my OP to include the link, I apologize for not putting it in there; I must've forgotten.

Anyways, here's the link again, just in case someone doesn't read the OP.

http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=3726

Basically, it's a modded maintained window that at first glance appears to be completely the same. And it is, except whenever you cast something that has a duration associated with it (short duration buffs, hot's, dot's, etc.) it will show the duration left on the spell/CA. This allows for a quick glance at the maintained window to see when stuff will wear off, instead of trying to figure out how many seconds are left by a stupid shader that's hard to see.

This mod had over 4,000 downloads for a reason. ;)

Lordebon, please take a look at the link I provided and tell me what you think.

CURRENT BUGS: It no longer displays the duration and also displays incorrect information when hovering over ANY icon in the window. (ex: Hover mouse over 1 of my group buffs, tooltip displays information for my mount... this happens with every icon in the maintained.)

Thanks in advance if you can get this working.

Thank you for your time.

Othesus 11-30-2006 04:24 PM

Oh, I use this mod too. The timers seem to count down correctly, but the mouse overs are wrong now. For some reason I think the problem happened after GU 29. I'll take a look at it later to see if I can fix it.

Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere
Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

lollygagger 11-30-2006 04:34 PM

Thanks for posting the correct link. not sure what happened there.

My experience is the same as Othesus. My countdown timer are working just fine. It's the mouseover target names that's the issue.

I looked at the xml and there's no reference to /GameData.Maintained.Spell_5.Target (As an example)

I assume that pre-LU29 that info was supplied default by SoE. Potentially need to be explicit with that information on mouseover now.

Just a hunch.

Not sure what the mouseover of this window is supposed to show, but the Maintained window in FetishNightfall includes timers and the standard tooltips. Should be able to extract just that window from the set. You'll need to change the following properties to something used in your set.

Font="/Fetish.Fonts.FontArial13T" (multiple occurances)
RStyleDefault="/Fetish.FrameStyles.single_pixel"

gm9 11-30-2006 05:38 PM

This thread made me curious so I looked at the code, but everything is fine? Tooltips work fine in game and are not moddable anyway. There was a bug in that tooltips were not displayed at all in places. Fixed it for you guys in the attached file.

Anyway, if your tooltip information is wrong it is not the fault of this mod.

gm9 you rock!

Thanks!!!

FYI - i resized all the icons to 30 x 30. The original mob had some at 36 x 30 and some smaller.

After playing with your new file:

1.You can no longer right click on a maintained spell to cancel it.

Any input on what needs to be added/changed will help.

I think I can manage the change if I know whats needed.

Ah sorry, a search and replace that went wrong, I should have paid more attention. See attached (I may have broken something else now, hehe)

So does this fix the problem described in the OP?

Edit: Asking because I (or someone else) should probably upload it as a patch to the download location then.

blast22 12-09-2006 06:58 PM

I would like to thank gm9 and all the rest who attempted to fix this problem.

Just DL'ed your fix, gm9, and I will let you know if I find any problems.

Thanks again and happy holidays!

EDIT: It works perfectly... This should be added as an update!
