The only MainHUD windows to recieve any significant visual changes were Hotkeys and Bags, both of which are supposed to improve performance acording to SOE.

After 8 hrs of continious game play, I didn't notice any change in performance that wasn't due to general server lag. All servers have had HEAVY loads since the expansion release.

You can troubleshoot the problem a bit yourself by closing individual windows to see if anyone of them is the culprit. If you do find one to be causing problems, let me know and I'll look into it.

Note: there will always be some improvement hiding all windows, but it shouldn't be as bad as you're describing.

It is a new update and fairly large expansion. I am having issues as well with lag and taking longer and longer to zone. However, I am using primarily eXtremeUI for now.
Do like Zonx described and give it a little while.
It is slightly possible could be small memory leaks somewhere.
During Beta it played very nicely, but it is alot of difference when such a large amount of people are all on at once which is hard to test in Beta phases.

Well I'm noticing (as are my friends) a much greater deal of server lag, at least on AB.

I mean, we know the server is bogged down when a 24-person raid sits there looking at everyone doing nothing for a minute... and then it immediately picks back up. That's an overloaded server.

I think SOE might have underestimated the server resources they'd need for EoF.
