Acheivement Points Window
For some reason I get a bunch of broken black space with my Acheivement Points Window (the window that shows the acheivement tree and where you spend your points)
I don't have any mods on this particular window so I find it odd that it's broken. Any clues as to what other mods may be affecting this or any fixes out there? |
Hello!
I had the exact same problem last night. I removed my EQ2.ini file (a new one will be downloaded automaticaly. Then the AA window looked normal. The only mod i use is EQ2MAP. |
Great tip except I am not getting a new eq2.ini file when I reload and I can't get any ui mods to load at all now.
Any thoughts? |
Does the EQ2.ini file still exist with EoF? I don't get a new download if I delete it and restart EQ2, I do have eq2_default.ini and eq2_recent.ini or something like that, but no EQ2.ini even with a full file check.
Perhaps someone with a working acheivement point window can show me the code that they have in their eq2.ini file? |
eq2.ini is user created, so the patcher won't remake it. So just recreate it the way it was.
But the problem isn't with eq2.ini - by removing that all you are doing is forcing it to use the default UI. What you need to do is go into the UI/Default folder, and open the eq2ui.xml and eq2ui_mainhud.xml (DON'T edit either of these - they're just reference). Then go into your custom UI folder and edit those two files listed above. In each one they will be new entries you have to add - the new Achievements window and the guild heraldry window and a new character select screen also, maybe other things. |
You make the eq2.inf file via notepad or wordpad. In it is where you tell it custom mod directory etc.
Mine is: cl_movie_enabled 0 <---- tells EQ2 NOT to play intro movie cl_ui_subdir UI/ <---- where my UI directory is located cl_ui_skinname modsadv <---- name of my CUSTOM mod directory where my custom files are |
Thank you Delemeko and Depechenode! I'm one happy banana now! :nana:
