New Expansion Nov 14/15
 

First off sorry if this has been addressed.......

I just wanted to know will you have everything set up to work with the new expansion on the 14th/15th? I really like how you have everything set up way better then the basic EQ2 one. Thanks in advance.

Answered in the main forum, but in short an update should be available late Sunday or Monday I'm guessing. Depends on my availability and how extensive the changes are.

Thanks in advance for all your work and dedication with your UI interface. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say it's an integral part of our enjoyment of the game.

is there a quick way to get UI to work right now cause my everything is gone atmo =/

To temporarily enable the default UI and preserve your Fetish layout for future use, do the following...

1) rename eq2.ini to bk_eq2.ini

2) rename each of your character_server_settings.ini files to bk_character_server_settings.ini

At this point logging into EQ2 will load the default UI with the default layout. A new character_server_settings.ini file will be created for each toon you log into.


Once the Fetish update is released, do the following to restore your Fetish layout...

1) rename each of the new settings files to default_character_server_settings.ini

2) rename each of your bk_character_server_settings.ini to character_server_settings.ini

3) rename bk_eq2.ini to eq2.ini

A LOT of stuff changed with this GU. The best thing to do is exactly what Zonx said... (which is revert to the default UI).

My only suggestion is to try making a copy of your character settings (which are: Sever_Char i think, not the other way around heh) and then renaming hte copy... that way you don't have to set everything back up =)

1st let me say great job and thanks for a job well done zonk /cheer. you are the big banna when it comes to custom UI :nana: . 2nd does anyone have an ETA on when we will have something for LU #29 and EoF?

via EOF i just realized how crappy the default UI is... i mean like... those hugh menues.... this seems to be designed for 1600x1200... man the more i have to stick with the default ui the more i dislike it :)

LOL, I don't even play anymore, but got my wife hooked and all she asks is "I know he has a life and job, but I can't play with anything but Fetish!" God love her..and thanks Z, for years you've been the man!

I love this guy's work. but for god's sake, get the update out soon!!!!! the game is TERRIBLE and almost unplayable with this ****ty default UI.
If you get this crap done sooner, I will paypal you a gratuity, seriously
